بر طبق ماده 79 قانون کار کودکان و نوجوانان: به کار گماردن افراد کمتر از 15 سال تمام ممنوع است.
بر طبق ماده 713 قانون مجازات اسلامی: هر کس کودکی را وسیله تکدی قرار دهد، به سه ماه تا دو سال حبس و استرداد کلیه اموالی که از طریق مذکور بدست آورده است، محکوم می شود.
بر طبق ماده 3 قانون حمایت از کودکان و نوجوانان: هر گونه خرید و فروش، بهره کشی و به کارگیری به منظور ارتکاب اعمال خلاف از قبیل قاچاق، ممنوع و مرتکب، حسب مورد علاوه بر جبران خسارات وارده، به شش ماه تا یک سال زندان و یا جزای نقدی از 10 تا 20 میلیون ریال محکوم می شود.

Activities Activities undertaken by the Institute so far are as follows: Organizing a necessity assessment workshop for 32 active and supportive organizations for “Children of Street and Labour” in Tehran Preparation and regulation of strategic plans for newly founded organizations working with relation to children susceptible to harm Translation and publishing of children’s story books Preparation of calendars focused on “Children of Street and Labour” and selling them to their benefit Preparation of handbags and selling them for the benefit of the “Children of Street and Labour” Operation of the internet website for awareness raising Design and implementation of the information database of “Children of Street and Labour” comprising of books, articles, newspaper clippings, theses, reports, pictures, movies, organizational activities, information bases, conference proceedings relevant to “Children of Street and Labour”. The information in this database is a compilation of data of 17 years and is now ready for public access Drawing up of an inventory of the organizations that work in relation with children susceptible to harm, along with their precise coordinates and goals and mission Preparation of a plan for the protection of children selling flowers and washing gravestones in Behesht Zahra Graveyard in Tehran, with the assistance of the municipality of District 19 Cooperation and consultation with Network for Assisting “Children of Street and Labour”, regarding issues pertaining to these children

1- Organizing necessity assessment workshops for NGOs active with children susceptible to harm in Tehran and other provinces, to enable them to act more strongly and provide better services to the children. 2- Help establish vocational and technical centres to educate “Children of Street and Labour” 3- Organizing music concerts fro the benefit of street children 4- Production of movies and short movies for the benefit of street children 5- Performing plays for street children and to their benefit 6- Design and production of a doll, symbolic of “Children of Street and Labour” and selling it to these children’s benefit 7- Organizing fundraising markets for the benefit of street children 8- Ensuring a reasonable number of aware, able and efficient organizations to prevent children from getting involved in street life and street labour, protecting and providing a better environment for the “Children of Street and Labour” and working to reduce the number of these children 9- Organizing various courses for institutes and organizations supporting “Children of Street and Labour” on photography, movie directing, story writing, etc. 10-Transferring knowledge and experiences of other countries to relevant organizations, through for instance workshops, on how to help affected individuals 11- Preparation of a guidebook listing organizations supporting “Children of Street and Labour” and providing it to the police department, in order to facilitate the protection of these children 12- Translation and publishing children’s story books written by Iranian authors to French; to be done in France 13- Provision of passes to “Children of Street and Labour” for theatre plays, cinema, cultural and recreational centres 14- Organizing workshops for planning, documenting and categorizing all written information available in affiliated and relevant organizations
